Steve Jobs Resigns, Fears iPad13 and iPhone23

Blogs, online magazines and newspapers and just about any organization or person that can post on the Web is writing about Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs and his resignation. WTF people?

I found one blog stating “world shocked!” I wasn’t. “Will Apple be the Same?” Yep! “Business as Usual at Apple.” No kidding folks.

Most feel the resignation is due to health-related problems for Jobs and if that is indeed the case—quit crying and let the man go on with his life.

I, however, do have the inside scoop on why Jobs decided to leave the Apple World. Much like Sylvester Stallone (of Rocky Movie fame), Jobs could see the future. First the iPad and shortly thereafter, the iPad2—and iPad3 is on the horizon! And then there's the iPhone--we are at number four already I think! Yikes the digits are scary.

Would you want your name to be behind the iPad13? Hell no folks, you would not!
I never liked movies or products that offer numbers behind their name. I think visionary Jobs saw this and got out while the getting was good. Let Tim Cook, the new CEO deal with the embarrassing iPad13 right or the iPhone23 right?

Just FYI here, to those adding numbers after products like 1, 2, 3, and THIRTEEN, to the average consumer, this means you screwed up on ALL EARLIER VERSIONS.
Bill Gates was a little number crazy for a while, then he discovered XP and Vista sounded awesome—Microsoft has swayed back to the numbers game, however, with Windows 7 (was there a 1, 3, 5 or 6?—you tell me.

I am not an Apple fan, although my son-in-law often (very often) tells me I too will be assimilated. I do like my Apple TV because it’s SO easy to pull up YouTube videos and watch Netflix videos, but that’s as far as my Apple rah rah goes.

Updates take too long and you have to update something or other on Apple—constantly and they remind you too! Do you want iTunes 10? Not right now man! Do you want iTunes 10.5? Can I please do it later man!

Yes Steve Jobs is a visionary and I do believe Apple shall carry on as usual albeit Jobs can sit on the sidelines while weary Apple folks try to tell the world why iPads 3 through 12 just weren’t all that great.

Have fun Steve—travel, eat, and visit with friends—all work and no play can make “Steve” a bad (and very tired) boy!
